Tommy Tedros, is currently serving as a board member for Los Angeles Beirut Sister Cities and has been involved with the organization since 2012. He is the immediate past president and additionally served as vice president during his tenure. He continues to be active on many committees and its day to day operations. His previous activity was the service provided as President of NAM, the National Apostolate of Maronites from July 2009-July 2011. He supervised a number of religious, cultural and heritage projects in Lebanon as well as throughout the United States. Tommy was the organization’s youngest president in its history at the time and worked on advisory boards and consultation since the conclusion of his presidency. He served two three-year terms with the NAM board starting in 2004, including a stint as vicepresident for two years. He co-chaired the young adults committee in his first year as vicepresident in 2007 that led to the establishment of the Maronite Young Adult National Organization that had committees around the country. From 2005-2008, Tommy worked on fundraising projects with the young adults regionally and nationally and chaired the public relations committee for NAM. Tommy served as treasurer and past president of the Beshely Society, Los Angeles’ oldest American-Lebanese philanthropic organization that’s been in existence since 1918.

He is an active parishioner of Our Lady Of Mount Lebanon Cathedral in Los Angeles, California and strives to continue the tradition that his parents and grandparents established in being a prominent member of the cathedral community, where he serves as lector and usher to this day.

Throughout the years, he was called upon to provide introductory comments and Master of Ceremonies duties for many cathedral events including St. Maron’s Feast Day and many other Lebanese-based organizational functions as well as corporate speaking engagements. His speaking abilities and protocol expertise are evident to this day with each assignment taken.

Tommy was presented the Silver Massabki award in year 2000 in Los Angeles and the Gold Massabki award at a national convention in Cleveland in year 2015. These lifetime acheivement awards were in recognition for his outstanding service to the Los Angeles-based Maronite community and national Maronite community. Tommy is currently an outside sales representative for Royal Paper Box Company in Los Angeles, specializing in packaging for pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies, and is employed by that company for the past 31 years.
